Constipation can be frustrating, uncomfortable, and even affect your overall energy and mood. Over the years, I’ve developed a simple, go-to approach to help move things along naturally: my “Cleanse or Clog?” Model. This framework focuses on nurturing your body with therapies that cleanse, rather than clog, your digestive system. Here’s what I live by:

1. Water

Hydration is the foundation of healthy digestion. Drinking plenty of water helps soften stool and keeps everything flowing smoothly. Start your day with a glass of warm water with lemon to kick-start your digestive system.

2. Celery Juice

Celery juice is a powerhouse for gut health! It’s packed with natural enzymes and minerals that stimulate digestion and help break down waste. Consuming it on an empty stomach in the morning can work wonders for regularity.

3. Papaya

This tropical fruit is not only delicious but also a natural source of digestive enzymes like papain. These enzymes can aid in breaking down proteins and improving overall digestion. Snack on papaya or add it to your smoothies to keep things moving.

4. Exercise

Movement is medicine! Regular exercise stimulates the muscles in your intestines, promoting better digestion and bowel movements. Even a brisk walk can make a big difference.

5. Magnesium

Magnesium is a natural muscle relaxer and plays a key role in bowel regulation. Many people find relief with magnesium citrate or magnesium glycinate supplements, which help draw water into the colon and ease elimination.

6. Colon Hydrotherapy & Enemas

For those seeking a deeper cleanse, colon hydrotherapy or enemas can be game-changers. These therapies flush out built-up waste and toxins, giving your colon a fresh start. I recommend these as part of a holistic approach to gut health.
